Eight questions about Presies. 1 min 47.

Do you keep our clients' documents?

A statement that converts is processed in memory and is gone once it finishes. The file Presies makes goes straight to your browser and is not kept either.

Your history keeps the file name and the counts, never the statement.

A statement that will not convert is emailed to us so we can see why. Ask us and we delete it within 30 days. We can also switch that sending off for your practice.

Which banks, and which accounting software?

FNB, Absa, Standard Bank, Nedbank, Capitec, Investec Private Bank and Discovery Bank.

Sage Business Cloud Accounting is live. Sage Pastel, Sage Evolution, Xero and QuickBooks are not built yet. Tell us what you run when you ask for a trial and we will tell you plainly where we are with it.

What if a statement will not convert?

You are told what failed and where, instead of getting a file with a wrong number in it.

The statement is sent to us so we can look into it. A refused statement costs nothing.

Can it read a scan?

Yes. A scan is read twice, independently, and a figure is kept only where both readings agree and the balances still add up. If they do not agree, the scan is refused rather than guessed at.

A scan costs the same as a PDF from the bank. A photo of a bank statement is not accepted: download the PDF from internet banking, or scan it.

Does it post into Sage for us?

No. Bank statements: you import the file Presies gives you into Sage. Supplier invoices: your clerk captures them into Sage from the worksheet.

How long does a statement take?

A PDF from the bank converts in seconds. A scan takes longer, because every page is read twice.

What does it cost?

R2,000 a month including VAT, for the whole practice. It covers up to 5,000 credits a month, over 1,600 statement pages.

No charge per document, and nothing to top up when month end gets busy. Cancel any time. See pricing and the AutoEntry comparison.

What is a credit?

How the fair-use allowance is counted. A bank statement page is 3 credits, a scan included. A supplier invoice is 1. Convert to Excel is 3 a page. Anything that came back refused costs nothing.

How many people can use it?

Five users are included, and we add more on request. Duplicate warnings are shared across everyone in your practice, so a colleague converting the same statement is warned too.

How do we start?

Request a trial: seven days, about 165 statement pages, no card. We set each one up by hand and email you an invitation.
